Cold day in Meghalaya, AssamRain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, and sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at one or two places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Orissa, Bihar, West Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country. Heat wave conditions prevailed in parts of Southwest Rajasthan. Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of the hills of West Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, South Central Maharashtra, the remaining parts of West Rajasthan and in some parts of Haryana, Telangana, Rayalaseema and South Tamil Nadu. They were above normal in Southeast Rajasthan, North Tamil Nadu, coastal and southern interior Karnataka and Kerala. Day temperatures were appreciably below normal in Assam and Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and in parts of Gangetic West Bengal and Bihar. They were below normal in South Gujarat, Saurashtra and in parts of Orissa. They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and the plains of Uttar Pradesh from where data was sparse. Rain or thundershowers occurred at a few places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, and at one or two places in Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka and Kerala. Very light rain occurred at one or two places in Assam and Meghalaya. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.
