Heat wave continues in Saurashtra, Kutch

Rain or snow is likely to occur at one or two places in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, and at one or two places in West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, west Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, south Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Day temperatures were markedly above normal in some parts of central Maharashtra, and appreciably above normal in Marathwada, Telangana, south Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, in parts of Orissa and the remaining parts of west Madhya Pradesh and central Maharashtra.

They were above normal in some parts of Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Konkan, Goa and interior Karnataka.

They were appreciably below normal in parts of Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar plateau, and normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh and west Uttar Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at a few places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub- Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Orissa.

Very light rain occurred at one or two places in Jammu and Kashmir and east Madhya Pradesh.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in parts of Saurashtra and Kutch. Heat wave conditions also prevailed in parts of west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and the remaining parts of Saurashtra and Kutch.
