Hot day in Kashmir again

Heat wave conditions prevailed in south-west Rajasthan.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Kashmir and north Gujarat, and above normal in south Gujarat, central Maharashtra, Karnataka and in some parts of east Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh and coastal Tamil Nadu.

They were markedly below normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Bihar and in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, and appreciably below normal in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa and some parts in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh and east Madhya Pradesh.

They were below normal in some parts of west Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha, and were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh from where data was sparse.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at one or two places in Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Very light rainfall occurred at one or two places in south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or snow is likely to occur at one or two places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at one or two places in coastal Orissa, north Rajasthan and coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.
