Southern heroines obviously know how to add oomph to their movies. And while Bollywood gets its item numbers right, south cinema some times fares even better.

With actress Anjali stepping in to do an item number in the forthcoming Telugu film Yamudu 2 (Tamil's dubbed version of Singham 2, starring Suriya, Haniska Motwani and Anushka Shetty and releasing on June 14), we take a look at the hot item girls in Telugu cinema.

Deepika Padukone, who is busy promoting her Hindi film Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani, will be seen in an item number in the Telugu film, Love You 4 Ever. It has been choreographed by Ahmed Khan.

The music has been composed by Ram Sampath. The film will release in November.

Malaika Arora Khan features in the Telugu version of Dabangg -- titled Gabbar Singh -- and makes her moves with leading man Pavan Kalyan in the song called Kevu Keka.

Rachana Maurya danced with actor Gopichand in the raunchy item song Ole Ole from the Telugu movie Souryam.

Sameera Reddy was handpicked by Telugu director Krish for an item number called Sye Andre Naanu in the film Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum because in his words, 'She looks like a diva -- nicely built with an innocent, glamorous face.'

Charmee turns on her charm with Nagarujna in the song Meesamunna Manmadhuda in the film Ragada.

Brazilian model Gabriela Bertante dances to the item song Disturb Chettanade in the film Devdu Chesina Manushulu.

British model Scarlett Mellish Wilson danced to the item song Joramochindhi alongwith Pawan Kalyan in the film Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu.
