It's raining small budget films, and some of the trailers look very good indeed.
After the success of small budget movies last year, big banners and studios are veering towards independent filmmakers and new actors, and bringing fresh, out-of-the-box ideas to the screen.
We look at some great movies lined up this year.
Teen Thay Bhai
Release date: April 15
Cast: Om Puri, Shreyas Talpade and Deepak Dobriyal
Director: Mrigdeep Singh Lamba
Directed by debutant director Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, and produced by Rakyesh Om Prakash Mehra Productions, the film is about three brothers, who don't get along with each other. Unfortunately, a clause in their grandfather's will lands all three at an isolated snowed-out cabin.
What follows is a laugh riot as the brothers battle for love and life to win back the most important thing: each other.
Zokkomon

Darsheel Safary is back, and he's the youngest superhero in the world.
Helmed by debutant director Satyajeet Bhatkal, Zokkomon is an action adventure film about an ordinary boy, who overcomes extraordinary challenges.
One of the highlights of the film is a song, which sees its leading lady in 16 different looks.
Shor in the City

Haunted 3D

The first 3D film in Bollywood, Haunted-3D is a story about man, who comes to India from the US to sell off his ancestral property but instead, lands up unravelling the secret of a mysterious mansion. He gets involved in a mission that requires him to save a girl, who is already dead.
Looking at the promos, it looks like the director is ready to offer the old wine in the same bottle.
Luv Ka The End

Azaan

Director Prashant Chadha, who had made Himesh Reshammiya-starrer Aap Kaa Surroor, is back with Azaan.
The movie introduces business tycoon Sachin Joshi, has international espionage as the backdrop and South African Playboy model Candice Boucher playing a sand artiste and informant, who goes undercover to save the nation from biological warfare.
Sounds like fun.
