Rajul Hegde in Mumbai
Transgender social activist Laxmi Narayan Tripathi is the latest housemate to be evicted from Bigg Boss 5.
She was nominated for eviction along with Pooja Missra, Mahek Chahal and Akashdeep Saigal.
Laxmi, who has been actively advocating the cause of transgenders for 12 years now, had her first brush with reality TV in Dus Ka Dum, followed by the controversial Sach Ka Saamna two years ago.
She has come across as, by far, the strongest personality amongst the housemates. She has been exciting, emotional, helpful and entertaining, and she made some good friends in the house, she says in this interview with Rajul Hegde.
Did the eviction bother you?
No. I was nominated for the first time and I knew that I would be evicted.
I am not as well known as the other housemates, so that was expected. I am glad that I left the house with dignity and self-respect.
'Pooja Missra is footage queen'

I wanted to show that even a transgender can live a normal life and should not be treated differently. I thought people need to be told the truth about us. So I appeared earlier on Sach Ka Saamna. I feel that my motive has been established to an extent.
Why do you think Pooja Missra gets saved every time she gets nominated for eviction?
Five times she was nominated but she gets saved every week because she is playing the game well.
She is the footage queen and is deliberately picking fights with everyone because she has done her homework very well and knows what sells.
'Akashdeep Saigal is fake'
Image: Laxmi Narayan TripathiHow would you sum up your stay in the house?
It was fantastic; there is so much love inside the house. I would love to go back if there is a wild card entry.
Also, I have made friends with Pooja Bedi, Juhi Parmar, Mehak and Shonali Nigrani. I was myself in the show and forgot that there were cameras around me. I represented my Hijra community with grace and charm, and that is what matters the most to me.
Swami Agnivesh offered me his help in all my ventures and I will be supporting him in his causes.
Do you think Akashdeep is playing a smart game?
Yes. He is a fake person and is playing games with everyone. Just by wearing a 'Being Human' T-shirt you will not be human, you must be truthful to it.
Nobody knows his real face till now, but I have seen through his pretence.
'Mandeep is a double-faced woman'
Image: Laxmi Narayan TripathiMandeep Bevli said you were playing your transgender card 24x7.
If I wanted to play the transgender card, I would have spoken endlessly on that and gained sympathy votes, but I didn't do that. I was on the show to tell that we are no different from others. That's it.
Mandeep herself is a double-faced woman, who instead of defending Mahek's dignity as a woman was supporting Akashdeep, which was really disgusting.
Who do you see as three main contenders in the house?
Juhi Parmar -- She is a simple person.
Amar Upadhyay -- He is a dignified man.
Pooja Missra -- She lives in the house to grab footage.
