Raja Sen reviews Finding Fanny trailer.
The wickedly named Finding Fanny, brainchild of the terrifically twisted Homi Adajania, looks to be a strongly-cast melange of all-out madness, the trailer showing off its loony flavour well.
And, again, what a cast it is.
Deepika Padukone, playing a sassy-mouthed widow (and, she claims, virgin); Dimple Kapadia as a massive-bottomed crabby auntie with a scary scowl; the one and only Pankaj Kapur as, well, a freakish character with designs on aforementioned bottom; Arjun Kapoor as a sarcastic slacker; and Naseeruddin Shah as the old romantic who is being talked into finding the love of his life, a girl named Fanny.
Please .
Trailer review: Madness abounds in Deepika's first English film

Everyone looks in fine form -- especially Naseer with a plaintive deadpan line about dying -- and here's to something genuinely quirky coming our way from the maker of Being Cyrus.
Come come, children, let's imagine Cocktail never happened and get all excited about this one.
Finding Fanny hits theatres on September 12.
