Vin Diesel's action film Fast Five has been declared as the most pirated movie of 2011 in a new poll.
The fifth instalment of The Fast and The Furious franchise raked in $626 million worldwide earlier this year, Contactmusic reported.
The sequel was also in high demand online, and was illegally downloaded a stunning 9.3 million times, according to TorrentFreak.com.
The Hangover Part II was the second most pirated film with 8.8 million hits, while Thor was third with 8.3 million downloads.
Other films featured in TorrentFreak's top 10 countdown include James Franco's 127 Hours with 6.9 million hits, and this year's Best Picture Oscar winner The King's Speech, with 6.3 million downloads.
TorrentFreak collects the data for the list which includes reports from thousands of BitTorrent trackers and other sources.

I Am Number Four

The first installment of a possible trilogy, the film was didn't go down well with the audience failing to get the cash registers riniging.
Sucker Punch

Still, it managed to be sixth most widely pirated movie of the year.
127 Hours

The movie was released in 2010 but it gained popularity in 2011 after its being nominated for six Oscars, making it the seventh most pirated movie of the year.
Rango

Surprisingly, director Gore Verbinski's other film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is missing from the list.
The King's Speech

The movie became popular after the Oscars, making it the ninth most downloaded movie with 6.3 million downloads.
