NTR Jr to wed Lakshmi Pranathi on May 6

Noted Telugu actor NTR Jr will tie the knot with Lakshmi Pranathi (daughter of Malleshwari and Narne Srinivas Rao) this Friday. The couple got engaged last year.

The wedding card is a pretty elaborate one with the photographs of his grandparents (the late NTR and Basavatarakam) as well as great grandparents.

Both NTR Jr and the bride are related to the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu.

The recent strike in the film industry has helped NTR take a break from the two films he was shooting for, to get ready for his wedding.

The muhurtam is in the early hours of May 6 at 2.41 am. A dinner will be held on the previous evening.

Considering the lineage and the political connections on both sides, this wedding will surely attract the glitterati, bigwigs, film fraternity, politicians and business leaders.

Sesh Adivi had acted and directed the supernatural thriller Karma last year. Extensively shot in the United States, Sesh impressed with his acting skills.

Now, Sesh has been offered a role in Pawan Kalyan's film Shadow and he is only too happy to be working in it.

"It's an absolute honour to be doing this film. It's a good role and therefore I chose to do it," said Sesh who doesn't mind being directed. He is likely to do a 'special negative role' in Shadow.

With releases happening week after week, there are very few films which last till 50 days. Prema Kavali, which marked the debut of Aadi (son of actor Sai Kumar) and Isha Chawla, recently completed 50 days.

Theatres were packed, as the film had a mix of commercial elements like romance, songs-and-dances and action sequences by the director Vijayabhaskar. But there was nothing new in the story.
