Now that megastar Chiranjeevi has indicated his return to celluloid, Ram Gopal Varma has shown interest in directing him like many directors.

Varma had started a film with Chiranjeevi years ago under Aswini Dutt's production. But the film never got made. Recently Varma tweeted that he wants to make Dhora (lord) with the megastar. It is to be seen whether Chiranjeevi will show the same enthusiasm and interest as Varma. Will Dhora be the comeback vehicle for Chiranjeevi?

As Rakta Charitra is based on the life of Paritala Ravi, people are drawing comparisons from real life.

Vivek Oberoi, who plays Paritala Ravi, went to Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh to meet the wife of slain Ravi. He was received warmly by the fans and the family. This is probably one of the few times when an actor essaying a 'real' role has met the family post film release.

Nani is having a fairly decent ride in filmdom after his debut in Ashta Chamma. His last film Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu (remake of the Tamil film Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu) was heart-warming and critically acclaimed.

G. Ashok directs the film produced by SS Bhuri. Selva Ganesh who scored music for Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu composes for Pilla Jamindar.
