Get your low down on what's happening in the world of Telugu cinema, right here!
Director Sekhar Kammula who has introduced Komalini Mukherjee (Anand) and the Happy Days gang (Varun Sandesh, Nikhil, Rahul, Vamsi, Gayatri, Sonia, Monali) and Rana Daggubati, Richa Gangopadhyay and Priya Anand (Leader) is now looking for new faces.
Sekhar is making a film titled Life is Beautiful (not to be confused with the Oscar Award-winning Italian film directed by Roberto Benigni) produced under his home banner Amigos Creations.
He has tied up with Vodafone (communication partner) and Radio Mirchi (radio partner) to find three boys and three girls.
At the launch of Life is Beautiful Sekhar said, "This film is about positivity, friendship and love among youngsters. This movie needs new faces. We are not looking for extraordinary features in them. I want them to be presentable enough on the screen. I had tie-ups with corporate for Happy Days and now I am doing the same for Life is Beautiful."
RGV praises Sneha Geetham
Image: A scene from Sneha GeethamIt's not often that Ram Gopal Varma compliments a film and that too, a Telugu one. Well he recently did so with Sneha Geetham.
This film produced by Lagadapati Sridhar and directed by Madhura Sridhar Reddy with newcomers has had a fairly decent run even though it released amidst big-budget films. It seems to have attracted quite a bit of attention too. Rana Daggubati attended the 25th day celebration.
Now RGV is said to have commended the effort of the director for "an honest attempt in making a movie with fresh faces" and also wished him "all the best for the journey ahead."
For the director Madhura Sridhar, this was a huge compliment as he considered himself an Eklavya of Ram Gopal Varma. He thanked him enormously and added that it was an unforgettable day in his life.
Other members of the cast like Venky, Sundeep and Shreya Dhanwanthary who were also present at the venue were also on a high. The producer Lagadapati Sridhar summed up by saying RGV was a quintessential example of the theme of the film -- "to follow the heart."
