Vicky Donor actress Yami Gautam in Hero

What does Hindi film Vicky Donor have in common with the forthcoming Malayalam film Hero?

Yami Gautham, who plays the female lead in both films.

She has done some television serials in Hindi earlier and has acted in a Telugu movie, Nuvvila.

Currently, she is receiving rave reviews for her performance as a Bengali girl opposite Ayushmann Kurrana in Vicky Donor.

In Hero, which is expected to hit the cinemas in early May, Yami plays a south Indian who falls for a stunt man played by Prithviraj.

The two actors had done an ad film together and that paved the way for her Malayalam debut.

She has done small roles in films like Neelathamara and Ithu Nammude Katha, before making it big in Tamil with Mynaa. 

Amala Paul is now playing the female lead in Run Baby Run, a Malayalam film directed by Joshiy with Mohanlal as the hero.

The shooting of the film has started in Kochi. Amala plays a journalist in it. She has also done Dr Biju's Akashathinte Niram in between, which has Indrajith in the lead and Prithviraj in a guest role.

In the forthcoming release Doctor Innocentanu, actor Innocent plays the male lead. Ajmal has directed the film and Sona Nair plays Innocent's wife.

Innocent is a homoeopathy doctor in the film, who is sincere about his work. But his wife is greedy and feels that her husband should be more money-minded.

Anandakkuttan is the cinematographer and Santhosh Varma is the music director.

Tamil actor Sonia Agarwal plays Mukesh's wife in director Mohan Kupleri's Grihanathan, which will hit cinemas soon.

Mukesh plays Viswanathan, a successful businessman.

For him, life is a big celebration. He has a lavish lifestyle which makes his wife Anitha anxious about their future. Her fears come true when Viswanathan faces setbacks in his business.

Grihanathan is being produced under the banner of Gurupoornima. The cinematographer is Utpal V Nayanar.
