Radhika Rajamani in Hyderabad
Tamannaah had two Telugu releases this summer -- 100 % Love (with Naga Chaitanya) and Badrinath (with Allu Arjun). While 100 % Love has been rated a success having crossed 50 days and reaching the 75th day mark, Badrinath did not live up to expectations.
Before setting off for Sri Lanka to shoot for Raccha with Ramcharan Tej, Tamannaah spoke to Radhika Rajamani about 100% Love and Badrinath and what lies ahead.
100% Love is a successful film. What do you think clicked in its favour?
What works well with Sukumar sir's films is that they are positive films. The films start on a happy note and end on a happy note too. 100% Love is a feel-good film and people want to see feel-good films. I also want to feel happy at the end of a film.
You had substantial screen space in the film...
Absolutely. 100 % Love is not just a film I did; it actually changed me. The film made me confident. Playing a character like Mahalakshmi, I truly felt confident and good.
'Working in Badrinath was a brilliant experience'
Image: A still from BadrinathAre you happy you worked in the film?
I had a substantial role which was crucial. I enjoyed doing the film and did not realise the impact it would have on me. I didn't have any expectation and gave it my best.
Were you disappointed at how Badrinath turned out?
For me, doing the film was a brilliant experience. It broke my fears. I was scared of heights and I jumped from a bridge in the film. I still haven't got over that. How the film eventually fares is a different story. Working with Vinayak sir and Bunny was a high.
Your glam quotient in the film was high...
It is a commercial film. I went with what the director had envisaged. I didn't do anything out of the box and was within the limits I set myself.
'I am lucky to have landed up with such meaty roles'
Image: A still from 100 percent LoveYou are now doing Surendar Reddy's film with NTR Jr titled Oosaraveli. Can you tell us something about it?
Surendar Reddy has given me a substantial role. I am in the midst of the film. I can perhaps talk about it when I finish the shoot.
You seem to be doing more Telugu films now?
Offers are better in Telugu. I am doing Raccha with Ramcharan Tej directed by Sampath Nandi, and Karunakaran's film with Ram titled Endukante Premanta. In all the three films, I have substantial roles. I am lucky to have landed up with such meaty roles.
