We found out the hard way what happens when you invite a dad-daughter duo on a show like Koffee With Karan.
Sonam Kapoor was a livewire on her first appearance on Koffee With Karan.
So it wasn't difficult to see why Karan Johar decided to invite her back. This time, she was paired with her age-defying actor father.
We can't say we aren't intrigued. But the show was the weirdest KWK episode ever.
1. The over-protective dad
Anil Kapoor said he didn't watch the controversial Koffee episode in which Sonam made an appearance with Deepika Padukone last season.
But he was taken aback by the way people reacted.
'It's a fun show, I just don't understand why everyone takes everything so seriously,' Anil said.
Only, Sonam revealed later during the conversation that her pa watches every single thing she appears in.
Awkward much?

2. Uglies

Sonam's take on 'ugly' actors was B-I-Z-A-R-R-E!
'The thing with this industry is that if you're not good looking, they think you're a good actor.'
'Just because you look ordinary and are a loud actor, that doesn't mean you're a good actor,' Sonam declared.
Seriously?

3. Icon for the ages? GULP!!!

Sonam didn't stop there.
She drew parallels between her public image and icons like Audrey Hepburn, Meena Kumari and Rekha.
We kid you not!
Sonam, your fashionista side has dominated your acting career for the most part.
Ms Hepburn, Ms Meena Kumari and Ms Rekha were/are wonderful actresses who went on to be admired as fashion icons.
There is a H-U-G-E difference. Trust us.

4. Make-believe

Sonam thinks it's amazing she is considered an icon (gulp! gulp!).
'I am considered an icon at the age of 20 when people, like, after their 40s or after they die are considered icons. It's just amazing!'
Is this self-delusion or what, girl?!

5. Ahem... that song

Sonam and dad dodged awkward moments on the show by denying that Anil was ever linked up with his costars.
The ever-careful Anil only stumbled once when Karan asked which song he found most annoying.
Anil mentioned the packed-with-double-meaning song from his 1994 film Andaz.
AK went on to describe the harrowing time his costar Juhi Chawla and he had when they tried to persuade the filmmakers to remove the song.
