The news is out.
Deepika Padukone, after conquering successive Bollywood peaks -- winning critical raves as well as repeated blockbuster status -- is set to hike her way to Hollywood, where she’s going to be a part of a highly profitable franchise of films.
But what, we wondered, could Deepika Padukone do in The Fast And The Furious Seven?
Just for fun’s sake, here are some suggestions:
Flag girl
What on-screen car-race could be complete without a hot girl in tiny shorts walking to the front of the cars and dropping a scarf/flag to get the race going? DP’s sure to rev engines up real good.
Biker

Well, even if you don’t remember the whole movie (not many of us do) we’re still sure you remember Anne Hathaway showing off her stellar posterior on that Bat-bike.
Padukone donned a catsuit for a magazine awhile ago, and based on those results, surely she could rock the biker-chick look.
Driver

Sure, the movies are mostly all about testosterone, but it’d be refreshing to see Padukone -- who once played a cab-driver in Bachna Ae Haseeno -- to put the pedal to the metal and shake off the women-driver stereotype with some pizzazz.
Distraction

Then again, why does she even need to drive when she can make drivers melt?
Using Padukone as a distraction to sideline formidable opponents would be a seriously cool idea, and easy on them eyes.
Linguist

But ever since we saw her in Chennai Express, we think she can at least fake her way out of strange tongues with superhit style.
Navigator

One of the key roles in a Fast And Furious Film is that of the navigator, the one who hunts out the shortcuts and points out the quickest getaways. It’s a role ripe for DP, who seems to be making all the right moves career-wise.
Hacker
Image: Deepika Padukone in Yeh Jawaani Hai DeewaniA really awful Indian remake of The Italian Job recently cast one of Deepika’s counterparts as an “ethical hacker.”
Padukone, who looks good in glasses (remember 'scholar Naina'?) might actually fit the part of a tech whiz -- though let’s do away with the ‘ethical’ tag.
