Television actor Ruslaan Mumtaz wrapped up the shoot of his daily soap Kehta Hai Dil Jee Le Zaraa at 10am on February 14, and got married to his girlfriend Nirali Mehta an hour later.
“I was shooting all night for my serial,” Ruslaan says. “Then I rushed from Film City (in the western suburb of Mumbai) to Fort (in south Mumbai) in my shooting costume! That was the only way I could make it in time for my court wedding.”
Ruslaan doesn’t mind his hectic working schedule.
“I had a choice,” he explains. “My producers did offer me the day off but since I the court marriage just had Nirali’s parents and mine, I didn’t see the need to disrupt the shooting schedule. As we all know, the schedules for daily soaps are very tight.”

Over the last four years, she has become a part of our household. My parents take Nirali’s presence in our home as much for granted as mine.
