PIX: Judi Dench, Tena Desae attend NY film premiere

Filmmaker John Madden's film adaptation of Deborah Moggach's These Foolish Things -- The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel -- premiered in New York City on April 23.

Held at the Zeigfeld Theatre in the city, the red carpet event was attended by the film's team.

Actor Dev Patel, also a part of the cast, was however, absent.

Dame Judi Dench, who plays one of the retirees in the film, arrives for the premiere.

Actress Tena Desae, who plays an Indian call centre executive in the film and Dev Patel's love interest, arrives for the premiere in a sequined dress.

Academy Award-winning British actor Tom Wilkinson, who plays a retired judge in the film, arrived solo for the premiere.

The actor was previously seen in Tom Cruise-starrer Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.

Director John Madden, better known as the director of Oscar-winning British-American comedy film Shakespeare in Love, arrives with a guest for the event.

Producer Graham Broadbent strikes a pose as he arrives for the premiere.

Broadbent is widely acknowledged as the most active independent producer in Britain today. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is his fifteenth film since he started out in 1997 as a producer.

English TV writer and director Ol Parker, who's also written The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, attends the film's premiere.
