Apart from being one of the most revered and famous film festivals in the world, Cannes also makes headlines for the style statements celebrities from around the world bring to the red carpet in the South of France.

While we got a 'sneak peek' into a few yesterday, here's looking at various others:

Supermodel Bar Refaeli turns heads and she knows it. The stunning beauty strutted her stuff in a blue Roberto Cavalli gown at the premiere of The Beaver at Cannes.

She accessorized with a glittering silver box clutch and exquisite Chopard jewels

Dressed in a feminine mustard-coloured summer dress, actress Kirsten Dunst poses with co-star Charlotte Gainsbourg during their upcoming film Meloncholia's photocall at Cannes.

With minimal make up on and the casual hairdo makes her look dewy fresh.

Slovakian model Adriana Karembeu arrived for the movie premiere dresed in a huge pink tulle dress. The colour of the dress made it look like her dress spun out of a candy-vending machine.

Cast members Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson arrive at their movie The Beaver's premiere looking sharp in their outfits.

Both went for Armani for their red carpet appearance.

Jodie's kept her look pure and simple with Cartier diamond earrings and touch of coral lippie.

The filmmaker was dressed in a red coloured biker's jacket and teaned it up with chains and shades.

Actor Jean-Paul Belmondo and his partner Barbara Gandolfi arrive on the red carpet for the screening of a documentary on Belmondo's career.

It's rather difficult to decide what's more blinding, Barbara's (an ex-Playboy model, apparently) dress or her smile. It would have been wiser to stick to a more appropriate (read understated) outfit for the ocassion, considering the event was in honour of Belmondo, one of the most famous stars in France.
