PIX: Shah Rukh-Priyanka attend Karan Johar's bash

Director Karan Johar celebrated his 40th birthday with the who's who of the film industry on May 25. 

Looking elegant in a well-fitted tuxedo, Johar walked the red carpet with his mother Hiroo. 

The host of the evening was close friend and designer Manish Malhotra, who had planned the entire party, including the outfits for many of the guests!

Here's a look at the stars who arrived. 

Good friend Shah Rukh Khan, who has been in the eye of controversy recently, arrived with wife Gauri.

Aamir Khan arrived with wife Kiran Rao. 

While most celebrities opted for evening gowns, Rao picked a sari for the evening.

Priyanka Chopra looked stunning in her golden Dolce & Gabbana gown, and put to rest all the rumours about her alleged fallout with Karan Johar.

Sisters Karisma and Kareena Kapoor arrived together.

Karisma looked elegant in her black bandage dress while Kareena wore a short printed dress.

Hrithik Roshan looked dapper in a grey suit, as he arrived with wife Sussanne.

Rani Mukerji wore an unflattering silver satin gown to the party.

Tabu made a rare appearance, and looked pretty in a pink maxi dress. 

Kalki Koechlin, who had just returned from the Cannes film festival, wore a red gown. 

Malaika Arora Khan wore a printed outfit with plunging neckline while her pregnant sister Amrita took the formal route.

Sonakshi Sinha took a break from her Rowdy Rathore promotions, and decided to party with Karan Johar instead!

Sanjay Dutt looked dashing in a white Pathani, as he arrived with wife Manyata.

Also present at the party were Sanju's sisters Priya Dutt, with her husband Owen Roncon, and Namrata Dutt, with her husband Kumar Gaurav.

Actresses Anushka Sharma and Nargis Fakhri and Salman Khan's sister Arpita pose at the red carpet.

Though Salman was invited for the party, he could not attend as he was shooting abroad.

Ali Zafar and Imran Khan came with their wives Ayesha Fazli and Avantika Malik respectively. Both actors chose to wear a bow tie for the evening.

Shamita Shetty, Dia Mirza and Urmila Matondkar were also present at the party.

Anil Kapoor was all smiles as he arrived with wife Sunita Kapoor.

Newlyweds Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza share a laugh, as they posed for the shutterbugs.

Director Rohit Shetty (who has signed up Johar's Chennai Express) turned up at the party, along with Akshay Kumar and Shahid Kapoor.

Raveena Tandon, Sonali Bendre and Rhea Pillai arrived with their respective husbands, Anil Thadani, Golide Behl and Leander Paes.

Arjun Kapoor, who made his movie debut in the recent big hit Ishaqzaade, was seen with sister Anshula Kapoor, and cousin Harshwardhan (Anil Kapoor's son) and uncle Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor.

Boman Irani and Anupam Kher arrived with their respective families. 

Boman's son Kayoze will be making his acting debut in Karan Johar's upcoming film Student Of The Year.
