Was Deepika-Sonam's Koffee chat controversial?

What started as just another episode on Koffee With Karan seems to have snowballed into one big controversy, involving some of the biggest names in the movie business.

Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor were very candid about Ranbir Kapoor on Karan Johar's chat show, and spoke freely about how he rated low on sex appeal, how Sonam had seen 'all of him', and why Deepika would ask him to 'endorse a condom brand.'

For more of this conversation, just watch the video.

The show obviously did not go well with Ranbir's father Rishi Kapoor, who threatened to cut off ties with Karan Johar.

But he didn't stop there. He put Wake Up Sid director Ayaan Mukherjee on the spot by asking him to choose between Ranbir and Karan if he wants to cast the young Kapoor in his next film. Ayaan, for those who don't know, was an assistant director to Johar in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, and is Kajol's cousin.

And it still does not stop there. The latest is that Sonam is very upset about Rishi's outburst, as she claims to have said it all in good faith.

What do you think about this controversy? Was the Koffee chat as controversial as Rishi made it out to be? Or do you think all the Kapoors need to take a chill pill? Write in!
