Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and Pakistan's cricket sensation Shoaib Malik are all set to shake a leg in the upcoming dance reality show Nach Baliye 5.

"We are happy to be a guest couple on the show," Sania said at a press conference. "We have rehearsed a lot. We had prepared and danced for our sangeet. I feel co-ordination is a little tough and to remember the steps is also difficult."

Shoaib adds, "My full concentration is on my performance. I hope we do well. Cricket is my passion, but with dance we will try to do our best."

'Our profession is to play, but we are very proud to be here'

Sania says she has two left feet and can hardly groove, but hubby dearest is a fabulous dancer.

"Shoaib is a very good dancer and loves dancing. I think when you love something, you automatically become good at it. I am a little shy and I've always said that I have two left feet (laughs). I hope we have done a decent job and don't look silly."

Asked what attracted them to the show, Sania said: "Our profession is to play, but we are very proud to be here."

She said the idea appealed to them because "we were getting a chance to spend some quality time together... and also it is one of the biggest dance reality shows."

'I am a Bollywood buff'

Is there a dance form that she would like to try on the show?

"I love dancing to any Bollywood music. I am a Bollywood buff. But it depends on our choreographers. Whatever steps and dance form they want us to do we will be ready to try it."

Would Shoaib like Sania to represent Pakistan?

"I think whatever fame and recognition Sania has achieved today is all because of India. So I would never want her to represent Pakistan. According to me, the love and affection that a country gives you will obviously not be the same when you change your country," he replied.

'Whether it is shopping or food habits, we are very different from each other'

Asked about their relationship, Sania says, "Whether it is shopping or food habits, we are very different from each other and as they say opposite attracts. I think that works for us.

"The only thing we have in common is that we both hate getting up early in the morning."

Shoaib adds, "I think one should be flexible and we both have that quality"

Sania and Shoaib will join 11 other celebrity couples on Nach Baliye, which will go on air December 29, on Star Plus.
