The creators of Two and A Half Men are reportedly considering ways to keep the winning sitcom alive without Charlie Sheen.

Last week, Glee actor star John Stamos was rumored to be in negotiations to replace the actor.

Now, Rob Lowe is reportedly the new favourite to replace television's highest-paid actor, who was fired by Warner Bros Television for moral turpitude, reports the New York Daily News.

Lowe's rep refused to comment on the casting rumours while a Warner spokesman told the Daily News that 'no decision has been made about the future of the show.'

Though creator Chuck Lorre reportedly penned the role of Charlie Harper with Sheen in mind, he and his team have been reportedly brandishing a short list of actors in internal meetings to suggest who could replace Sheen.

Stamos, however, denied that he would joining the show. 'Contrary to the rumours, i am not replacing charlie sheen on two and half men,' he tweeted on February 25, adding, 'however, martin sheen has asked me to be his son.'

Kate Winslet: Leonardo DiCaprio is my 'rock'

Kate Winslet has revealed that her close friend and Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio has been her 'rock' over the years since they starred in the blockbuster Titanic in 1997.

She praised the 36-year-old actor for helping her through the dark times after splitting from her director husband Sam Mendes.

The 35-year-old Oscar winner insisted that her bond with DiCaprio has always been platonic and based on mutual respect and shared experiences.

'He knows me better than anyone else in the world. Lots of male friendships begin as a cheeky snog. Or a little undercurrent of flirtation. But Leo and I? No. He's my rock,' Contactmusic quoted her, as telling Vogue magazine.

DiCaprio agrees with Winslet. 'We literally grew up together. And in every major life event we've been there as a support mechanism for each other,' he said.

Titles for new Hobbit movies get thumbs up from fans

The prospective titles of the two new Hobbit movies have been announced, according to web reports.

Fan site TheOneRing.net reports that New Line Cinema has registered two titles for the films -- The Hobbit: The/An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: There and Back Again.

The first is a riff on the opening chapter of the book -- called An Unexpected Party -- in which Bilbo is visited by the wizard Gandalf and 13 dwarfs before setting off on his epic adventure.

The second, There and Back Again, is author JRR Tolkien's alternative title for the whole tale. It was also used in Lord of the Rings as the name of Bilbo's memoirs.

Fans greeted the potential titles warmly on Internet message boards, though they almost unanimously preferred An Unexpected Journey to The Unexpected Journey for the first film.

'Almost exactly as I envisioned it back when they announced there was going to be two movies,' Stuff.co.nz quoted a fan as writing.

'I can just see it now. The Howard Shore music slowly building as The Hobbit pops up on the screen just as The Lord of the Rings did, and then the Shire music takes over as An Unexpected Journey pops up while hobbits work diligently in the spring weather,' wrote another.

Some saw omens in the titles about how the movies' stories would unfold.

'Yet another clue that Film One will surely end before the company arrives at Erebor,' wrote a fan. Erebor is the mountain where the dragon Smaug lives and is the object of Bilbo's adventure.

'An Unexpected Journey seems exquisitely appropriate given Jackson's last-minute role shift,' wrote a fan.

Celine Dion has baptised her four-month-old twin sons in Las Vegas.

The singer christened little Eddy and Nelson in a Melkite Greek Catholic ceremony, which honoured her husband Rene Angelil's heritage.

The twins' 10-year-old big brother Rene-Charles, the doctor who helped Dion conceive her little boys through fertility treatments, and 200 family members and friends were also in attendance at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

'It was a beautiful, traditional family ceremony,' the Daily Star quoted Dion's representative as telling People mag.

After the baptism, the tots napped while their mum hosted a reception at Caesar's Palace.

Mike Tyson opens up about death of daughter

Mike Tyson has revealed that the grief of other desperate parents stopped him from going crazy in the hospital where his four-year-old daughter passed away.

Little Exodus Tyson died in May 2009 after an accident at the family home.

The former heavyweight-boxing champion admits he was so upset he was sure he'd go 'psycho' when he arrived at the hospital where his daughter spent her final hours.

'I was pretty outraged, torn apart. When I went to the hospital when she was on the machine, I was anticipating, because I was probably coming down from a hangover, but I'm anticipating that I'm going to go to the hospital and raise hell (sic),' Contactmusic quoted Tyson as saying on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday.

'Once I got there and saw other people who had children who already died or were dying; they were handling it with dignity and I didn't want to be the psycho parent. I wanted to handle it with dignity as well.'

'Their kids were dying too, so I didn't have any right to be a psycho. I just had to handle it like everyone else and be humble and be at ease,' Tyson added.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson has announced that she is taking time off from university to concentrate on acting.

The actress -- who plays the character of bookworm Hermione in the smash hit movies -- says she has found it hard to juggle her blossoming film career with her studies, reports Adelaide Now.

Watson enrolled to study literature at Brown University in Rhode Island in 2009. She says she still plans to finish her studies but will take some extra semesters to complete her degree.

Watson has just finished filming Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 2, and My Week With Marilyn.

Martin Scorsese hit with $ 2.8 million tax bill

Following the mismanagement of Martin Scorsese's accounts by jailed financier Kenneth Starr, the director has been asked to pay $2.8 million in overdue tax.

The Taxi Driver director -- who has previously been asked to pay $ 1.9 million in back taxes in a series of demands from the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in the last decade -- was asked to pay the past-due notice last month, although insiders have claimed it is only as a result of 'mismanagement' from now-jailed accountant Starr.

'Scorsese had been mismanaged for a number of years when he was at Starr and s**t started to happen again,' Contactmusic quoted a source as saying. 'In a general sense, his finances were messed up, and this is probably one of many things that didn't get tended to.'

However, Scorsese's representative Leslee Dart has denied he owes any money, claiming the request is a mistake. Dart said: 'The IRS prematurely filed this lien even though Mr Scorsese had an agreement with the IRS to make payments and was fully complying. As of this moment, the entire amount is full paid, and he has no current IRS debts.'
