Johansson, 26, and Penn, 50, who began dating in February, smiled as they were spotted posing arm-in-arm by a makeshift bar set up backstage.
Gossip blogger Jared Eng of JustJared.com reported that Penn 'gave her a big kiss when he saw her'.
However, according to Us Weekly, the stars 'weren't flirty or anything, but they did seem to get along', reports the New York Daily News.
Another witness, however, claimed that there was some 'tension' when the actress unexpectedly joined Penn's conversation with Robert De Niro.

It has emerged that Al Pacino is in negotiations to star in John Lennon-inspired film Imagine.

In the film, a father decides to reconcile with his estranged son after learning all about a fan letter from Lennon, which got lost in the post.
The son was originally billed as Steve Carell, but he had to quit the project due to scheduling conflicts, according to CinemaBlend.com.
