Fans name a star after Shahid Kapoor!

Shahid Kapoor, who recently celebrated his birthday in Goa, got an unique gift. A star has been named after him, thanks to his fans!

The star, which is now named after Shahid, is located in the Orion constellation.

Shahid thanked his fans for the gift and wrote: 'Wanna thank all the #shanatics for the sweetest bday gift .......... U guys r. Just the best ......... V touched'

However, he isn't the only one.

The International Lunar Geographic Society, a New York-based organisation committed to the study of the moon, had announced a lunar crater in the moon's Sea of Tranquility christened after Shah Rukh Khan in 2010.

Meanwhile, Shahid is reported to be starring in the Hindi remake of Tamil superhit film Vettai, featuring R Madhavan and Arya.

Simi Garewal ‏was thrilled with Meryl Streep's Best Actress win. 'Thrilled that Meryl, 63, won!! Can you see it ever happening in India? Maybe when Vidya Balan is 63... Amitabh Bachchan was impressed with the show's host Billy Crystal. 'Up at 6 am to watch the Oscars .. interesting selections and not too many surprises .. Billy Crystal competent, but subdued somewhat,' he wrote.

Dia Mirza tweeted: 'I caught the repeat telecast of the #Oscars and I have only one word to describe it: #RESPECT!'

Jaaved Jaaferi managed to spot AR Rahman on the show. 'Congratulations for the oscar Anil Ambani..a super wise investment in Hollywood.. Jai Ho!!! And what was Rahman doing playing and singing in a balcony somewhere at the side with a group of musicians?????' he wrote.

Madhuri Dixit is in London shooting for a television channel. 'Excited about going to London! Currently shooting for Star's Life OK sutradar role,' she updated.

Shah Rukh Khan, who is in London shooting for Yash Chopra's upcoming film, watched the hockey match between India and France. 'Was so nice to see sunny singh so simply say how as he scored goals...all kept sayin yo yo sunny Singh..I feel like playing hockey just now!' he updated.

Model-turned-actor Tena Desae who made her Bollywood debut with Yeh Faasley last year is stirring up the west. The actress makes her Hollywood debut in John Madden's The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel opposite Dev Patel.
