Coca Cola signs up Tamil actressTamannaah for Fanta

After Mahesh Babu bagged Thumbs Up, it was the turn of another south actor -- Tamil actor Tamannaah Bhatia -- to land a soft drink endorsement. Coca Cola has signed up the gorgeous actress, and hopes to use her growing fan base to their advantage.

Beverage major Coca Cola India has announced that it has roped in Tamil actor Tamannaah Bhatia as brand ambassador for its brand Fanta in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

The 22-year-old actress starred in six films last year including 100% Love and Ooseravelli.

Tamannaah would engage with the Fanta consumers to effectively endorse all the brand's upcoming initiatives, Coca Cola India said in a statement.

The actress has worked with some of top actors in the industry and enjoys quite a fan following.

Commenting on the association, Coca-Cola India and South West Asia Vice President (Marketing) Anupama Ahluwalia said, "We hope to have a fruitful association with her (Bhatia) and are positive that she will help build and further strengthen the brand's connect with its consumers."
    

The company has signed Tamannaah as brand ambassador for Fanta for a period of two years, the company said without divulging the financial details.
   
She would be the face of the new 'Fanta Behind The Label' promotion and will feature in the new television commercial which will go on air tomorrow, the company said.

In addition, consumer promotion will be supported by a range of activities by radio, print, digital and on ground initiatives across Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, it added.
    
Coca Cola sells various beverages brands including Diet Coke, Thums Up, Fanta, Limca, Sprite and Maaza in India.
