Paoli Dam: I'm happy people are curious about Hate Story

Vikram Bhatt's Hate Story lead actress Paoli Dam recently connected with her fans on Rediff Chat.

After grabbing eyeballs with a sexually explicit promo of the film, the actress, who's done some impressive work in Bengali cinema, the Bollywood debutante was rather cautious of the questions thrown at her during the chat and replied in measured words.

Paoli Dam answers,  I am expecting the audience to go and watch the film and get entertained.

storylover asked, what made u select hate story as your first movie in bollywood?...Instant fame ?
Paoli Dam answers, I think the name Vikram Bhatt was enough. When I heard the narration I was really happy and I like the character in the film.

Paoli Dam answers, I think it is both a womans mind and body

Paoli Dam answers, I havent planned anything. I am getting a lot of offers. I am waiting for the release of the film and then I'll decide about my future.

Paoli Dam answers, No I didnt think twice. It's a women oriented film. As a performer, I enjoyed playing my character.

Paoli Dam answers, Yes of course. Even mainstream cinema is becoming independent so its is coming of age.

Deol n Leone asked, Paoli, the director of Hate Story claims it to be the Indian Basic Instinct. Do you agree with his claims? And on what grounds?

Paoli Dam: I dont think he has said it.

Paoli Dam answers, While shooting, there was no thought process. It was before the shoot. I am from Kolkata and I was in Mumbai for 3 months before the shoot as I wanted to know the people who I was going to work with

Paoli Dam answers, I dont think acting can be learnt. Either you have it or you dont.
