Ayesha Takia, who last appeared alongside Salman Khan in his 2009 blockbuster Wanted is back with a quaint tale called Mod, directed by Nagesh Kukunoor.
In converstaion with her fans on rediff chat, Ayesha talks about her films and the direction her career has taken over the years. Here's the unedited transcript for those who missed it:
Ayesha Takia says, Hi Hope everyone is doing good. Its nice to chat with you all again.
Atul asked, how r u ayesha? does MOD has a suspense with ranvijay's character in the end?
Ayesha Takia answers, the title suggests there is a mystrey element in the film but cant tell you more than that. You have to go and watch the film
Fiz asked, Hi Ayesha!Can you tell me one advantage and one disadvanage of married life??!!!
Ayesha Takia answers, Cant think of any disadvantages as it is great fun if you find the right person
niraj asked, Hi Ayesha.... tell me the changes before marriage & after?
Ayesha Takia answers, Pretty much the same, I am still the same person. Lots of people ask me this but i think its is the other people's perception about me.
'Wanted is my biggest hit till date'
amitesh asked, Ayesha ji tell me about your movie Mod?
Ayesha Takia answers, Mod is a very simple love story and after Dor I think it has the same magic that me and Nagesh bring as a team.
Nitesh asked, Hi how are you doing, will you continue working after your marriage? We don't want to miss such a great actress.
Ayesha Takia answers, Thank you so much. I definitley will. I throughly enjoy films like Mod and would love to do lots more. Thank you for your support.
'Nagesh is my favourite director'

rtt asked, Ayesha how was it working with Rannvijay? It was his first film in the lead, how was the chemistry?
Ayesha Takia answers, Very good. I have always trusted Nagesh's instinct on who my co-stars are in the film. Its been great fun and the film has turned out awesome
sourabh asked, Hi I liked you in Dor, are you planning to do such films again?
Ayesha Takia answers, Thank you so much... that was definitley the turning point in my career and would totally like to do more such films.
veenu asked, why did you decide to get married when you were so successful in films? I mean very few heroines do that. Any specific reason?
Ayesha Takia answers, I have always chosen to do things that make me happy and don't believe in postponing good things in my life.
deepakjain asked, Do you also help in your family's hotel business?
Ayesha Takia answers, Yes its my husband business, hotels, restaurants and cafes and I have grown my interest in it. Would love to do lots more business as I am doing now.
'I have never planned my career'

Ayesha Takia answers, Thanks so much. Language is not really a barrier where films are concerned for me and I surely love to do more if I find soemthing interesting.

Ayesha Takia answers, Thank you very much. Wanted is my biggest hit so I am thankful that you appreciated it so much.

Ayesha Takia answers, Mod is an exciting film for me. Once cannot know if the film is going to be a hit or not so as an actor I choose films that excite me.

Ayesha Takia answers, I used to visit his restaurant very often as I do now.
'Item numbers are not my scene'
absder asked, do u think that Mod will be worth watching in this festive season when we have a lot of other big banner films?
Ayesha Takia answers, Its definitley a good film and if people liked Dor, they will surely like Mod.

Ayesha Takia answers, No not my scene at all but great for all those who are doing it.

Ayesha Takia answers, I always already a child model at that time and I was about 6 years old
'I dont think I have the temperament to join politics'

sandy asked, After Dor and Mod, what next? Will you work with Nagesh only..or still open to do movies like Wanted?
Ayesha Takia answers, It always depends on the script and my role as an actor. These are the things that I look for when I am choosing a film. I have been able to do Dor and now Mod with Nagesh so he is one of my favourite directors to work with.
Palak asked, Pls tell the strong points of your movie Mod which should compel people to watch it.
Ayesha Takia answers, Firstly after Dor I feel the film has the same magic and me and Nagesh coming together is always fun. Also it is a simple and sweet love story which I consider timeless.
barikutsav asked, You are extremely beautiful. You could have superseded all the top heroines. What prevented you from becoming a top actress?
Ayesha Takia answers, My life has been about choosing different things from most people think that I should have chosen. It always has been about my hapiness and peace of mind therfore I have never startagised or planned my career
FARHANDELHI asked, Do you have any plans to join Politics in future?
Ayesha Takia answers, I definitley do not have any plans to join politics. I dont think I have the temperament to do it.
