Most well-liked stars in Britain

Kylie Minogue is Britain's most powerful star, according to a poll.

The Chiggy Wiggy star who sang for Akshay Kumar's Blue recently, landed the top spot in the list of the UK's most well-known and well-liked stars, reports The Daily Star.

A spokesperson for research company Millward Brown says, 'Kylie is widely accepted as an adopted Brit. People know her, like her and she is surrounded by positive buzz.'

Footballer David Beckham and pop star and X-Factor judge Cheryl Cole also made it to the list.

George Clooney, a non-Brit, was also well liked, revealed the poll of 2,000 participants.

Veteran actresses Joanna Lumley, Dame Helen Mirren and Dame Judi Dench scored points for being positive role models.
