Actresses don't always look older as the years go by. Some of them, in fact, look way more glamorous and certainly very different.

We take a look at some of the leading actresses of the past, and see how they've changed over the years.

Rekha

Normally, growing old means losing glamour and charm but this is one actress who is looking more glamorous than ever.

Her pictures from Sawaan Bhadon from 1970 and her latest movie Bachke Rehna Re Baba 2005 speak volumes about her transformation over the years.

Dancing queen Helen looked gorgeous in her early days, and she hasn't lost her charm.

Before she played mother to Karan and Arjun, Raakhee was a gorgeous actress. She has become a bit of a recluse over the years but her admirers adore her nevertheless.

70s' 'It' girl Dimple Kapadia made many hearts flutter with her debut in Bobby and floored fans with her smoldering looks in Sagar. At present, she remains one of the finest examples of elegance and glamour at her age. Dimple has truly aged gracefully.

One of the most graceful actresses of her time, her fans' list includes Amitabh Bachchan himself. Often referred to as a timeless beauty, her grey hair only adds to her appeal.

Mother of the nation's current heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Singh is quite a head-turner herself. One of the more cherubic actress of her time, she epitomizes timeless chic. Her films with hubby Rishi Kapoor are still talked about.

Along with growing old, this siren from down south is losing all her extra flab that she'd managed to hold onto till quite late in her career. Looking as svelte as ever, Sridevi is every bit the glamour queen she is known as  through her films. She has worked hard on her style too and it shows!

Bengali beauty Sharmila Tagore looks beautiful and regal even today. She even walked the ramp at India International Jewellery Week fashion show last year.

Do you know that Kareena and Karisma Kapoor's mother looked exactly like them when she was young? Yes, she was quite the stunner herself.

Once a coveted 'Padosan', Saira Bano has changed dramatically with time. Known for her petite frame in her younger days, she's a figure of serenity and calm as an older person.

Reena Roy virtually disappeared after getting married. Over the years, she seems to have gainedtoo many unwanted kilos.
