Bollywood gets ready for Karan Johar's birthday bash

Bollywood stars are busy gearing up for what is expected to be the biggest party ever -- Karan Johar's 40th birthday bash -- tonight. The party has been planned by Karan's close friend, fashion designer Manish Malhotra.

The designer has been busy planning the nitty-gritties and is even styling some of the guests. 'Tweeting after so long cos as usual I've been running around all over with work. The madness begins... Styling so many guests, the entire decor and food arrangements,' Malhotra tweeted.

And the buzz is that all the desi socialites are trying to look their best for the party. Author and socialite Shobhaa De updated: 'Buzz is not about what intnl stars are wearing on the Cannes red carpet 2nite but what desi socialites will wear 2 KJo's b'day 2morrow nite.'

Meanwhile, some of the Bollywood stars tweeted birthday wishes to KJo.

Bipasha Basu wrote: 'Happy Happy Birthday @kjohar25 .Love ur spirit!Looking fwd to d most amazing n anticipated party in a long time.I love bdays!Big Hug!'

Raj Kundra tweeted: '@kjohar25 wishing you a very happy 40th birthday to a creative Genius! May you keep knocking out super hits after super hits!'

Genelia D'Souza wrote: 'Happy birthday @kjohar25 lots n lots of love n love 2day n always.'

Riteish Deshmukh tweeted: 'Wishing my dearest friend @kjohar25 a very happy birthday- thank you for always being there for me- LOVE YOU LOADS.'

Neil Nitin Mukesh, who is in Fiji on a 50-day schedule for Bejoy Nambiar's psycho-horror film 3G, described a ghost experience that happened during the shoot recently.

'Now for some anecdotes! So weirdly but true. So we were shooting at this one location which apparently is supposed to be haunted! And the unit boys did experience a presence. One of our light boys came running complaining that some one was standing by his side. And passed right through him. At first we thought he was joking trying to create sensation but then when he sat trembling like a leaf is when we sat and heard him out,' he tweeted.

Nonetheless, the shooting for the film is underway. '#shortcutRomeo is complete 1ce I get back post the shoot of #3Gthemovie ill complete the dubbing of the film. By then the post should b done. Meanwhile we have completed 35%of #3Gthemovie. Its an exciting film with a great story line screenplay and visual treat. Difficult to hold a the character of "sam" in #3Gthemovie. Everyday brings a new challenge. But that's what's exciting. #3Gthemovie is a horror ! It reminds me of Gregory pecks "omen",harrison fords "what lies beneath", bruce wills "sixth sense". Horror is one genre I've always loved and wanted to do. Never heard the script of a classy horror until I was offered #3Gthemovie !' he added.

Bipasha Basu has been busy working out and rehearsing for second edition of her fitness DVD. What's more, the actress is said to be also directing it.

She shared a picture (above) of her with her team and tweeted: 'Rehearsing fr d new BB Loveyourself Routine called 'Unleash'!Pix of me n my team relaxing in between rehearsals!' 

Bipasha had released her first fitness DVD titled Love Yourself two years ago, along with Deanne Pandey, her fitness buddy of 17 years. 

Pandey is helping her this time with routines. 'Me n @deannepanday hve worked on the 'Unleash' routine together!Extremely effective n strong unisex routine!' she tweeted.

For Priyanka Chopra, family comes first.

Despite the fact that the actress has been busy working on her music album and shooting for Krrish 2, she took a 12-hour flight to Switzerland for her brother's graduation day.

'my graduate brother!!! Yay! A twelve hour one day trip to Switzerland soooo worth it!! Proud sister!!' she tweeted with the picture (above).

Meanwhile, Veena Malik who is shooting for the Kannada version of Vidya Balan-starrer The Dirty Picture, shared a picture from the shoot and tweeted: 'Had a fab photo shoot for "THE DIRTY PICTURE" last nite...wrapped up at 6am n all set to attend a press meet in a bit!'
