Betaabi

In Betaabi, every character is at the other's heart or throat. Singh plays an assassin who comes to town to bump off the rich Anjala Zaveri, but falls for her instead. Arshad Warsi is a gold digger trying to come on strong if Singh didn't hog the limelight with Zaveri. Meanwhile, Mayuri Kango is trying her wriggle her way into Warsi's heart and as many frames of the film as she can manage.

Mohabbat

Manisha plays a rape victim who has two agents of evil, played by Raghuvaran and debutante Anupama Varma. She keeps running through the mean streets of Bombay till she bumps into a savior (Jackie Shroff). Grahan also marks Shroff's debut as producer.

This film, inspired by the southern hit, Pudhiya Mugham, tries to be different but finds the old rut without difficulty.

Circumstances force the good guy to become a hit man. One day he kills a policeman cop. Terrified of repercussions, he gets the brother, a plastic surgeon, to change his mug. Immediately after the bandages are opened, he runs away before any one in his gang sees him. He marries, settles down, and fathers a kid who grows up in his father's likeness. One day, the reformed gangster's former boss catches a glimpse of the son and recognises the face. That's when the fun begins.

Jackie Shroff and Ayesha Jhulka play hero and wife respectively, Sharad Kapoor the son, Pooja Batra, his girl.
