Which movie are YOU eagerly waiting for?
It’s perhaps the most eagerly awaited season of the year, and the two-month summer vacation ensures the regular presence of families in theatres.
The prominent names in Malayalam industry are ready with their big projects this Vishu season too. Unfortunately, Mohanlal's Puli Murugan will be delayed.
In the next few weeks, Mammootty, Dileep, Prithviraj, Nivin Pauly, Dulquer Salmaan and Kunchacko Boban will grace the big screen with their brand new films.
Here's a closer look at their releases:
Mammootty’s White
Director Uday Ananthan’s White has been shot extensively in London.
Mammootty plays a high flying entrepreneur, who falls for the charms of a younger woman, played by Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi.
Mammootty, who started the year with Puthiya Niyamam, hopes to continue his winning streak with White.
Dileep’s King Liar
King Liar, which marks the return of the duo Siddique-Lal, has Dileep playing the hero.
Madonna Sebastian, who shot into fame with Premam and has found success in Tamil cinema with last week’s Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum, is the heroine.
Dileep, who got cash registers ringing big time with Two Countries, is back as the mass hero.
Prithviraj’s Darwinte Parinamam
Jijo Antony's Darwinte Parinamam will release this weekend, ahead of the other films and will begin the Vishu race.
Prithviraj, who is on a dream run with this year’s Paavada adding to the hero’s enviable list of hits, has teamed with Chemban Vinod Jose in Darwinte Parinamam.
Chandni Sreedharan is the heroine.
Dulquer Salmaan’s Kali
There is lot of expectation from Dulquer Salmaan after the success of Charlie, which won him the Kerala State Film award for the best actor recently.
In Sameer Thahir’s Kali, the young heartthrob is paired opposite Sai Pallavi, who became a sensation after playing Malar in Premam.
Nivin Pauly’s Jacobinte Swargarajyam
It was Vineeth Sreenivasan who launched Nivin Pauly in Malarvady Arts Club and gave him a major break with Thattathin Marayathu.
In Jacobinte Swargarajyam, Vineeth is talking about family bonding.
After the recent success of Action Hero Biju, Nivin Pauly will be eager to add another winner to his profile, this time with his mentor.
Kunchacko Boban’s Valleem Thetti Pulleem Thetti
Director Rishi Sivakumar’s Valleem Thetti Pulleem Thetti boasts of a casting coup of sorts.
In the film, Kunchacko Boban has teamed with Shamli, who is the younger sister of Shalini, the hero’s first heroine in his maiden film, Aniyathipravu.
