The ad world seems to have opened its doors for television stars on a break.
Pallavi Kulkarni, last seen in Vaidehi, seems to be one of them. The pretty actress rose to stardom with her performance in Kehta Hai Dil but has been off the radar since then.
"I don't think there are too many good shows on Indian television today," she says. "That is why you have not seen me on the small screen. I am ready to do saas-bahu serials but the people with whom I work should be sincere and honest. Otherwise, I will not be able to work with them."
Pallavi feels that honesty is a rare asset in television today, and that is why she prefers ads. "It offers me good money and creative satisfaction as well," she adds, talking about her Honda Activa and Dabur Chavanprash commercials.
Pallavi is a trained classical singer as well, and is not averse to the idea of reality shows. Well, we advice her to do something soon otherwise she will not only be out of sight, but also out of mind.

Jay Soni, aka Bunty of Baa Bahu Aur Baby, is trying his best to balance films and television. Recently, he played Anupam Kher's bratty son in the film, Buddha Mar Gaya.
Though the film bombed at the box office, his performance did not go unnoticed. If the grapevine is to be believed, he has bagged a Yash Raj film! Strangely enough, he could not take it up. According to a source, the reason was date problems.
Since he is shooting for two daily soaps -- Baa, Bahu Aur Baby and Remote Control -- the actor didn't have any dates to give Yash Raj.
Now, this is what we call a professional!

Mreenal Desharj, who was last seen in Doli Saja Ke Rakhna, is busy with her film career as well. The actress is busy shooting for a film, Runway. Directed by Sunil Tiwari, the film also stars Amarjit Shukla.
But this is not Mreenal's first film. She has done films like Sooraj Barjatya's Vivaah, Anubhav Sinha's Tathastu and Pankaj Parasher's Sab Gadbad Hai earlier.
"We have finished the first schedule in Mumbai and now are heading to Mauritius for the second," Mreenal informs us.
And that's all she is willing to reveal about Runway. "I have been asked not to say anything else!" she says.
It seems secrecy is the latest publicity stunt for under-production movies!
