Trisha has reportedly been approached to play the lead in the Tamil remake of the critically acclaimed Hindi film Queen.
The 2014 released comedy drama directed by Vikas Bahl had won its lead actress Kangana Ranaut the National Award. The Tamil remake will be directed by actress-turned-filmmaker Revathi, who is known for her directorial film, Mitr, My Friend.
While the film is yet to be titled, Suhasini Mani Ratnam has been roped in to pen the Tamil dialogues.
Trisha is apparently a frontrunner for Kangana’s role, but the actress is busy with the shooting for the horror film Mohini and is yet to sign on the dotted line.

Mohanlal to distribute Kabali in Kerala
The distribution rights to the much-anticipated Rajinikanth starrer Kabali in Kerala has been bagged by Malayalam superstar Mohanlal for a whopping Rs 8.5 crore.
This is said to be the highest amount paid for a non-Malayalam film in Kerala. Vijay’s Theri was earlier reported to have been sold for Rs 5.6 crore, the highest at the time.
Kabali will be distributed by Mohanlal’s MaxLab in collaboration with Antony Perumbavoor's Aashirvad Cinemas. The film is all set to release in 150 screens across the state.
Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, the film is directed by Pa Ranjith and will see Rajinikanth playing an aging don. Bollywood actress Radhika Apte plays the female lead.

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan confirm their romance?
Ever since the release of the superhit comedy Naanum Rowdy Dhaan last October, there have been rumours linking the film director Vignesh Shivan and its lead actress Nayanthara.
The two have always denied the rumours but it seems that they will finally make their relationship status public.
They travelled together to Singapore last week to attend the sixth South Indian International Film Awards (SIIMA), and appeared totally comfortable being captured by the shutterbugs.
In fact, when Nayanthara was called on stage to collect the Best Actress Award, she insisted on the award being presented by Vignesh.
Sources claim that the couple was inseparable at the event.
