This July, Bollywood stars Akshaye Khanna, Taapsee Pannu, Farhan Akhtar, Jimmy Sheirgill, Shilpa Shetty and Paresh Rawal will be seen on OTT screens.

Joginder Tuteja lists the July releases.

Samantar Season 2
Where to watch: MX Player
Release date: July 1

The first season of Samantar was quite exciting, as it told the story of a low-on-luck man (Swwapnil Joshi) whose future follows the life that another man (Nitish Bharadwaj) had lived 40 years earlier.

The second season (in Marathi and Hindi) picks up from there and promises to be an intriguing affair with Tejaswini Pandit and Sai Tamhankar added to the cast.

Haseen Dillruba
Where to watch: Netflix
Release date: July 2

An Aanand L Rai production, this film promises to be a dark thriller with a humour angle.

Directed by Vinil Mathew (Hasee Toh Phasee), Haseen Dillruba stars Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane.

State of Siege: Temple Attack
Where to watch: ZEE5
Release date: July 9

Continuing its State of Siege franchise, ZEE5 brings State of Siege: Temple Attack.

Akshaye Khanna leads the show as an NSG commando.

This time around, it's a made-for-OTT film and not a Web series, which has been put together by Ken Ghosh, who made the hit Web series, Abhay.

Collar Bomb
Where to watch: Disney+Hotstar
Release date: July 9

Last year, Jimmy Sheirgill was seen as a middle-aged judge in Your Honour.

While his character carried grey shades there, the same is expected in made-for-OTT film Collar Bomb where he plays a cop.

Yet again, he gets embroiled in a crime while battling his inner dilemma.

Asha Negi, Rajshri Deshpande and Sparsh Srivastav support him in this Dnyanesh Zoting directed film.

Toofaan
Where to watch: Amazon Prime
Release date: July 16

If not for the first wave of COVID, Toofaan would have released in theatres last year. And if not for the second wave, it would have arrived on OTT in May.

Now, we get to see the Farhan Akhtar starrer in July.

Farhan and his Bhag Milkha Bhag Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra collaborate on a film about a boxer.

Hungama 2
Where to watch: Disney+Hotstar
Release date: July 16

During 2000-2010, Priyadarshan delivered back-to-back comedy hits.

He makes a comeback with Hungama 2.

Paresh Rawal is the only common actor in the two Hungama movies while Shilpa Shetty makes her acting comeback.

Meezaan Jaffrey (Malaal) returns and South actress Pranitha Subhash makes her Hindi film debut.

Feels Like Ishq
Where to watch: Netflix
Release date: July 23

While Netflix has been making quite a few anthologies (Ray released just a few days back), they will be bringing out yet another offering, this time in the romance-drama genre.
