This, even though he got married immediately after the release of his first film Kaho Na... Pyaar Hai, which made him an overnight star.
Even as his legal battle with Kangana Ranaut has brought their relationship to the spotlight, we take a look at the rumoured women in Hrithik's life.
Sussanne Khan
Before he became an actor, Hrithik dated Sussanne for four years.
They got married in December 2000, after his debut film Kaho Na... Pyaar Hai -- which released in January the same year -- made him an overnight star.
They have two sons: Hrehaan, nine, and Hridhaan, seven.
After being married for 13 years, the couple filed for divorce in December 2013.
Kareena Kapoor
It is rumoured that Hrithik dated Kareena Kapoor before Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai released.
Kareena was originally cast in the film but she was replaced by Ameesha Patel.
According to the industry, they continued to be close even after Hrithik's wedding, and went on to work in quite a few films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Yaadein, Mujhse Dosti Karoge! and Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon.
Later, Hrithik's father Rakesh Roshan apparently intervened and banned his son from working with Kareena.
Barbara Mori
Hrithik, the rumours mills have it, fell in love with Mexican actress Barbara Mori during the shooting of their film Kites, which released in 2010.
But the rumours did not go down well with Sussanne and one wonders if their marital troubles started then.
Kangana Ranaut
Once Babara Mori exited his life, Hrithik's marriage was also in trouble. His Krrish 3 co-star Kangana apparently doubled up as agony aunt, and they became close.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Hrithik proposed to Kangana (external link) a month after he split with his wife in December, when they were in Paris. And Kangana said yes.
Unfortunately, their relationship spiralled downwards a month later.
Katrina Kaif
The aforementioned report in Mumbai Mirror also stated that Kangana Ranaut was very upset with Hrithik when he got 'too close' to his Bang Bang co-star Katrina Kaif.
Apparently, Hrithik and Kat bonded big time on the sets, with her lending him a supportive shoulder as he had just split with his wife.
