Making a good trailer is an art.
You have to tease and give out a taste without giving away too much, and this time, instead of listing the top trailers, I thought I'd give you the best in several trailer-related categories.
So here we go.

What a trailer!
Shah Rukh Khan has transformed himself into a young lookalike of himself, and the very idea -- and all its meta possibilities -- are immensely thrilling.
This Maneesh Sharma film could be the best thing SRK has done in years, and we can't wait.
Trailer that made us sit up and take notice: NH10
We knew NH10 was a slasher movie.
We knew it' be violent and gritty.
We weren't, however, prepared for just how bare-knuckled the film would be, and what an impression Anushka Sharma would immediately make on us.
One trailer in, we were all watching.
Trailer that made us drool: Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!
The film was one of 2015's highlights, no question, and the first Byomkesh trailer was soaked in style: From the period Calcutta detailing to the stunningly disparate soundtrack, from the funky editing to the way Sushant Singh Rajput handled his dhoti.
That trailer made us expect one helluva ride.
Big-budget blockbuster trailer of the year: Bajirao Mastani
This one had it all, and had it big.
Ranveer Singh looked striking as Peshwa Bajirao, the sets and scale looked disarmingly impressive, and Deepika Padukone looked as luminous as if she lived on a diet of tubelights.
Films that big often turn into a circus, but Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a grand ringmaster.
Trailer that made us believe: Talvar
Hindi films to do with real-life police investigations are often either sensationalised or simplistic, but one glimpse at the trailer for Meghna Gulzar's film convinced us of its chops.
Everything felt chillingly real, and -- even more disturbingly -- very familiar.
That one shot of the parents crying brought back every headline and news story we'd read about the Talwar murder case, and here was an important film begging to be watched.
Trailer that we watched over and over again: MSG The Messenger
Some of us had watched the Love Charger music video, but nothing could prepare us for the mindboggling exuberance of the MSG trailer, starring Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan.
Not just was the spiritual guru leading man, but wrote, shot and directed the film while composing the music and singing the songs, and the result was a trailer we shared and watched as much as we could.
