From pregnancy rumours to getting roughed up on the sets of their shows, these TV actors have seen their fair share of controversy this year.

Television saw its fair share of controversies in 2014.

Here's a look at some of them:

 

Diandra Soares: I'm not pregnant!

Diandra Soares and Gautam Gulati on the show Bigg Boss 8

Housemates Diandra Soares and Gautam Gulati were romantically linked together on Bigg Boss 8.

Their kiss and infamous escapade in the bathroom raised many eyebrows.

Diandra was then evicted and taken to hospital for reportedly, a routine check up. It was rumoured that she was pregnant even Diandra denied them.

 

Gauahar Khan

Gauahar Khan on the show India’s Raw Star 

During the shooting of the reality show India’s Raw Star model-actress Gauahar Khan was slapped by a member of the audience for wearing a short dress.

Deeply upset, the actress addressed the media the following day, and confirmed that she was attacked.

The 24-year-old man has been arrested.

 

Shweta Basu Prasad

TV actress Shweta Basu Prasad (of Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki fame) was arrested in an alleged prostitution racket in Hyderabad, and sent to a rescue home.

When she was released, the actress denied that she was forced into prostitution, and slammed the media in an open letter.

 

Veena Malik

Veena Malik and Asad Bashir Khan

Former actress Veena Malik and her businessman husband Asad Bashir Khan were recently sentenced to 26 years in prison by an anti-terrorism court in Pakistan for airing an allegedly blasphemous programme. 

In May, Geo Television had played a religious song in the backdrop to Malik and Khan's mock marriage.

Veena, who lives in Dubai with her husband and son claimed she was shocked, but added she had faith in her country's judicial system.

 

Paridhi Sharma

Paridhi Sharma as Jodha in Jodha Akbar

Paridhi Sharma, who plays Jodha in Jodha Akbar, complained to the show’s producer Ekta Kapoor that she was sexually abused by the show’s director Santram Verma, and apparently refused to shoot with him.

Ekta rubbished the rumours while Santram refuted the allegations.

Later, he was told not to direct any of the scenes in which Paridhi appears.

The actress has refrained from talking about this to the media.

 

Sunil Grover

Sunil Grover as Chutki on Comedy Nights with Kapil

Sunil Grover had walked out of Comedy Nights With Kapil to start his own show, Mad In India. The show, unfortunately, didn't do well. Even his new character Chutki (pictured above) did not catch on.

He then returned to the show that made him a star.

 

Rajat Tokas

Rajat Tokas as Akbar in Jodha Akbar

Rajat was reportedly roughed up by spot boys on the sets of Jodha Akbar, allegedly for being too high-handed.

Both the actor and the production house have denied the incident.

 

 Karan Patel

Divyanka Tripati and Karan Patel in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein 

Karan Patel of hit show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein has banned the media on the sets of the serial.

Apparently, Karan and his co-star Divyanka Tripati had to shoot a portion with actors Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor. Karan did not report on time, and the Bollywood stars left the sets.

Later, Karan reportedly blamed the media and announced a ban on them on the sets of his show.
