Where have you heard these songs before?

It's a known fact that Bollywood looks westwards for inspiration for scripts as well as tunes.

The most recent example is the chartbuster song Munni Badnaam Hui from Dabangg, which is a copy from the song Ladka Badnaam Hua Haseena Tere Liye in the Pakistani film Mr Charlie.

Jab Koi Baat Bigad Jaye, Jurm

The chartbuster song Jab Koi Baat Bigad Jaye from the 1980 film Jurm (starring Vinod Khanna and Meenakshi Sheshadri) was directly copied from the English number 500 Miles. The Hindi song was composed by Anand-Milind.
 

500 Miles is sung by American folk singer-trio Peter Yarrow, Paul Stookey and Mary Travers, popularly known as Peter, Paul and Mary. This song was part of their first album, recorded in 1962.

Music composer Pritam chose to copy Kya Mujhe Pyar Hai from the song, Tak Bisakah, composed by Indonesian pop band Peterpan.

The band originally consisted of six members -- lead vocalist Nazril Irham or Ariel, Mohammad Kautsar Hikmat or Uki, Ilsyah Ryan Reza or Reza, Loekman Hakim or Loekman, Andika Naliputra Wirahardja or Andika and Hendra Suhendra or Indra. The last two members have now left the band.

Munni Badnaam was not the first song that Jatin-Lalit copied. The hit song Koi Mil Gaya from 1998's Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was also a copy.

The original song was Take That Look Off Your Face, a number from Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Tell Me on a Sunday. 

It was sung and released by Marti Webb in 1980.

The glamorous Zeenat Aman sizzled in this song alongside Vijay Arora in Yaadon Ki Baraat (1973). The music was composed by R D Burman, and the lyrics are penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri.

The song, however, is copied from the title track of the film If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium (1969). It was sung by folk singer Donovan.

Dil Maaka Dina, composed by Anu Malik for the film Dhaal, was an exact copy of the popular song Macarena.

It is a Spanish dance number, sung by Los del Rio, comprising musicians Antonio Romero Monge and Rafael Ruiz Perdigones.

Another Anu Malik composition, Dil Mera Churaya Kyun, from the film Akele Hum Akele Tum, was copied from Last Christmas.

The song was sung by WHAM -- comprising of George Micheal and Andrew Ridgeley -- and released in 1984.

Yet another Anu Malik composition, Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Hogaya was a copy of Speak Softly Love theme from The Godfather (1972).

The song Tumne Jo Kaha in the 1999 film Laawaris (starring Akshaye Khanna and Manisha Koirala) was a copy of the song Barbie Girl sung by Danish pop group Aqua. The Laawaris music was composed by Rajesh Roshan.

Barbie Girl topped the charts worldwide, and is Aqua's biggest hit single in the USA to date.

Directed by Raj Kanwar, Daag-The Fire stars Sanjay Dutt, Chandrachur Singh and Mahima Chaudhry. The music for the film is composed by Rajesh Roshan.

One of its songs Chehra Tera Chehra was copied from the Titanic theme song; My Heart Will Go On. Sung by Celine Dion, the song bagged the Academy Award for Best Original Song.
