Modi's Bollywood connection? Find out here!
After he was accused of polarising Bollywood on the issue of who to vote for in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls -- while one filmi faction is passionately supporting Arvind Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party, the rest are bandying behind the BJP prime ministerial candidate -- Narendra Modi hit back with an explanation.

'I am not very familiar with Bollywood and have watched three Hindi films in the last decade,' he clarified.

While one does understand that a chief minister is a supremely busy man with more pressing matters to attend to than catch the latest Hindi release, Modi's revelation has certainly stoked everybody's curiosity.

The Gujarat chief minister watched Neeraj Pandey's well-received A Wednesday in August 2008, weeks before its nationwide release, with Anupam Kher, who starred in the film as one of the protagonists.

Modi came out of the theatre impressed with the film and was quoted as saying, 'This film has capacity to provide a new strength to humanitarian forces for their fight against terrorism.'

When Amitabh Bachchan took his National award-winning film Paa to Gujarat in 2010 in the hopes of getting a tax exemption, the state's chief minister -- a longtime Bachchan fan -- was more than pleased.

The duo watched the film together and the Big B was appointed ambassador for Gujarat a month after that.

Paa won four National awards that year -- Best Actor for Bachchan, Best Feature Film in Hindi, Best Supporting Actress for Arundhati Nag and Best Makeup Artist for Christien Tinsley and Dominie Till.
