Veteran actress Kirron Kher, who is contesting 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Chandigarh, filed her nomination today.

Her husband Anupam Kher shared a picture and tweeted: ‘Kirron Ji with her father Col Thakar Singh at her house in Chandigarh after filing her nomination papers.:)’ 

Kirron Kher added: ‘Today is the most important day of my life. I start my journey of serving people of my city officially. Win or not!’

Meanwhile, actress Gul Panag also filed her nomination from Chandigarh. ‘In the ring now. Nomination filed. With our campaign manager. @DrMunishRaizada #Selfie,’ she tweeted with a picture.

Actor-singer Farhan Akhtar, who was last seen in Shaadi Ke Side Effects, is a singer once again. The 40-year-old Rock On!! actor recently recorded a song with his father Javed Akhtar and composers Salim and Sulaiman Merchant for his social campaign MARD.

He shared a picture and tweeted: ‘Good times recording a one-from-the-heart song with @salim_merchant @Sulaiman @shraddhapandit ... Coming soon #MARD.’

He will also be soon performing in US and Singapore. ‘Was in Singapore hosting IIFA 2 years ago.. Thrilled to be coming back with the band. See you then. 13/04,’ he wrote.

Actor Jay Bhanushali, who is currently vacationing in USA with his wife Mahhi Vij, shared a picture of them together and tweeted: ‘Kitni bhi shopping karalo Mahhi ka expression same rehta Hain.. Agar shopping Mein toka toh Ganga jamuna bahana shuru.’ 

He shared another picture and added: ‘NY superb memories... But for me Vegas comes first then LA and then NY now let's see wch rank New Jersey gets.’
