Soha Ali Khan flags off India Independence Day Parade in Chicago

Vidya Balan flagged off the India Day Parade in New York, and Soha Ali Khan was the Grand Marshall for FIA's India Independence Day Parade in Chicago on August 17.

Soha shared a picture of herself from the parade and tweeted: ‘With IL governor pat quinn at the Chicago indep day parade. I travelled across the world and yet I felt I was home!'

After the huge success of her film Chennai Express, Deepika Padukone returned to the sets of her next film Ram Leela, co-starring Ranveer Singh.

Choreographer Vishnudeva, who is shooting with the actors, shared a picture of them together and tweeted: ‘IN RAM LEELA SONG SHOOT.I AM VERY HAPPY TO WORK WITH RANVEER AND DEEPIKA THEY R TOO GOOD.'

Directed and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film is said to be an adaptation of Shakespeare's epic love story Romeo and Juliet, and is set in violent times.

Ajay Devgn, who is busy promoting his latest film Satyagraha, visited the sets of comedian Kapil Sharma's television show Comedy Nights with Kapil.

He shared a picture from the shoot and tweeted: ‘Shot 4 Comedy nights wth Kapil ystrdy! It ws supposed 2 b 4 Satyagrah bt jst turned out 2b really funny!! Fun!'

Satyagraha also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, and Amrita Rao, and deals with corruption in society.

Lyricist Swanand Kirkire wrote a poem for veteran poet Gulzar, who celebrated his 79th birthday on August 18.

‘Yar Gulzar. Pyar Gulzar..Kal Nayaa tha, Ab Nayaa hai .. Naya hogaa Baras Hazaar !! Yaar Gulzar Pyaar Gulzar !!’ Kirkire tweeted.

The film, also starring Sonakshi Sinha, is slated to release on November 29.

Boman Irani celebrated the Parsi New Year festival called Papeti, and tweeted: 'On this auspicious occasion we now have a darling daughter. Lisa. As a dad I can say it: she is gorgeous!!!!'
