Ranbir Kapoor starrer Jagga Jasoos is set to release in May 2015, after the IPL.
"Disney's Jagga Jasoos, directed by Anurag Basu, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Govinda, will release on May 29, 2015, the first Friday after the end of the IPL season next year," a statement issued in Mumbai said.
Despite having a banner like RK Films, Ranbir is co-producing Jagga Jasoos with Anurag Basu and has floated a company with him called Picture Shuru Productions.
Apparently, the film, where Ranbir plays a detective, would be along the lines of 'Sherlock Holmes-meets-James Bond-meets-Mission Impossible' in typical Bollywood entertainer style with right dose of action, comedy and music.
Earlier, Ranbir had revealed that they were planning lot of things for the film, like a TV show called Jagga Junior, comic books, animation and cartoons.
He said they are trying to build a brand around the protagonist, so that by the time the film releases everyone is familiar with what Jagga Jasoos is about.

The Dhoom 3 actress, the fourth Indian to be named as the face of the beauty brand, said it was an honour to be a part of the family.
"The stunning women that represent the brand across the globe are strong motivators. It is an incredible privilege to be joining this league of ladies. I'm looking forward to working with the L'Oreal Paris team in India and creating some new global beauty trends," Kaif, 30, said.
The actress was welcomed by Aishwarya, who has been representing the brand for 12 years.
"I would like to extend a warm welcome to Katrina to the L'Oreal Paris family. I am sure she will enjoy representing team India as brand ambassador and I wish her the very best," Aishwarya said.
'My second film is the real test for me'

Siddharth Malhotra burst on the Bollywood scene in 2012 with his role in Student of the Year and the actor plans to keep the momentum going with his second film Hasee Toh Phasee, which he thinks will be the real test in his budding career.
The 29-year-old actor, who made his debut with two other actors -- Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan -- in the Karan Johar-directed film, is happy to do a solo lead this time.
"This is the real test for me. I am really excited to be doing a solo film, I am on my own. And I hope I will not disappoint people. More than nervous and excited, I feel more responsible now to entertain people. It is on me now," Siddharth said in an interview.
"Before it was Karan Johar taking care of everything. He was launching us so half the pressure was on him. Now, I have been launched. What next? I have to perform. That performance pressure is there. I have to make up for all the negatives I have done before," he said.
Hasee Toh Phasee is a romantic comedy directed by ad-filmmaker Vinil Mathew and produced by Johar and Anurag Kashyap. Besides Siddharth, the film also features another rising star Parineeti Chopra.
After being directed by Johar in his very first film, Siddharth said working in a movie helmed by a newcomer was a very different experience for him as he felt more pressure.
"This film was a role reversal. I was one-film-old and my director was a debutant. It is Vinil's first film so it was me who felt a lot of pressure being the experienced one of the two," Siddharth said.
The actor said he and his co-star Parineeti hit it off right from day one -- all thanks to their Punjabi background and shared love for food.
"We are in the similar age group, we were launched the same time, so we hit it off from the first rehearsals. We both are North Indians, Punjabis, outside the industry, foodies.
"And she is very easy to get along with," he said.
