PIX: Farhan, Sonam at Bhaag Milkha Bhaag bash

The team behind Bhaag Milkha Bhaag celebrated the success of the film by partying at J W Marriott in Juhu, a western suburb of Mumbai.

Farhan Akhtar, who plays the title role, wore printed trousers with a jacket while Sonam Kapoor looked glamorous in a James Ferreira gown, pearl earrings and a clutch by Bottega Veneta.

The women in Farhan's life -- wife Adhuna and mother Honey Irani -- made their presence felt.

Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra popped the champagne bottle and said, "The real award is the love of the audience. Even the acceptance of sportsmen is a big compliment for us. They understand and relate to the film more, be it P T Usha, Carl Lewis and Kapil Dev. They're all are loving the film, and that's a big compliment for us."

"We are happy that people love this film," Farhan told the media. "The biggest compliment is the acceptance of audience, Milkha Singh and his family."

Milkha Singh had highly praised the film and the makers behind it.

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's wife P S Bharathi, who also edited the film, poses with her husband, actress Divya Dutta and Japtej Singh, who played Milkha Singh as a child.

Actor Prakash Raj, choreographer Ganesh Acharya and Mehra seem to be dancing to the film's hit song Havan Karenge.

Both Pawan Malhotra and Yograj Singh played Milkha Singh's coach in the film.

For those who don't know Yograj Singh is the father of cricket sensation Yuvraj Singh, and a successful Punjabi actor.

Music composers Loy Medonca and Ehsaan Noorani hang out together.

Loy also made a special appearance in the song Slow Motion Angreza.
