Sandhya's IPS training is on in full swing, and we give you the behind-the-scenes version of it.
One of Star Plus’s top shows, Diya Aur Baati Hum tells the story of Sandhya and her struggles as she dreams of becoming an IPS officer.
Sandhya's role is played by Delhi girl Deepika Singh, who makes her debut with this show.
The story has reached Sandhya’s IPS training, where she and her co-cadets are in a jungle are getting ready for the final test.
The jungle training is being shot in Ghodbunder road in the Thane district of Maharashtra.
Rajul Hegde visited the sets of the show, and caught the action up close.

According to the story, Sandhya and her co-cadets train in the forest while a Naxalite group keep close watch.
The militants want Officer Agrima Singh (Maninee Mishra) to train their men for combat.
They have even sent one of their own men under cover in the police academy.

When Agrima Singh learns that the Naxals have broken the security system, she orders the officers to vacate the training camp.
Singh gets injured while trying to escape, and gets caught.
Sandhya decides to save Singh, and snatches a gun from a Naxal. She threatens them to leave them or else she will kill him.

While the action is quite intense on the show, the sets are in fact, quite peaceful.
Deepika cools off inbetween takes by touching up her make-up, and showing us some of the jungle tasks she’s had to do.
She can set up a tent with cadet Zakir (Neil Bhatt), draw water from the river, practice rifle shooting and start a camp fire.

Deepika’s career is flying high, and she’s quite happy on the personal front too.
The actress is all set to wed the show’s director Rohit Raj Goyal in May 2.
