The awards show was an initiative by Aneel Murarka and yesteryear actress Poonam Dhillon, co-founders of Poetic Justice Events and Entertainment, in association with YES bank.

Daawat-e-Ishq actress Parineeti Chopra was another star performer of the night.

Dressed in a sequined lehenga, Parineeti danced to some of her hit film songs.

The actress also shared a picture of her with Alia on Twitter.

"Alia and me backstage," she wrote.

The actress will next be seen in Daawat-e-Ishq opposite Aditya Roy Kapur, set to release on September 5.
