Lady Gaga's dedication to her occupation is only rivalled by her fans' for her.
Notorious for her outlandish appearances at high profile events -- she arrived on a human-powered unicorn at this year's American Music Awards, in a dress made entirely out of raw beef at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards and emerged out of a giant egg for the 2011 Grammys -- Gaga is called Mother Monster by her fans and she, in turn, refers to them as Little Monsters.
So great is the mutual love in this particular case, that Gaga has a Little Monsters tattoo on the arm that she holds the mic with and launched littlemonsters.com -- world's first official social network dedicated to fans -- last year.
And so, when the 27-year-old popstar is on tour, her fans turn up in outfits as quirky and impractical as her own to show their love and support.
Take a look at the most striking Gaga fans' sightings from the recent past.
