Singer Miley Cyrus, who created quite a stir with her racy outfits and twerking at the VMAs earlier this year, upped the ante at the MTV Europe Music  Awards held at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam on November 10.

She lit up a 'joint' on stage after receiving the Best Video award.

Pop star Katy Perry made an equally arresting appearance on stage when she flew to the stage (with the help of harnesses, of course) for her performance.

Perry won the Best Female Artist gong at the show.

One half of hit electronic dance music duo LMFAO, Redfoo -- also known as Stefan Gordy -- held the audience captive with his performance.

Singer Robin Alan Thicke, Miley's partner in crime at the VMAs, maintained safe distance from the teen singer as he delivered a solo performance at the awards show that featured a brief appearance by rapper Iggy Azalea.

Bruno Mars, whose new single Gorilla gathered steam thanks to Freida Pinto's exceedingly raunchy turn in the song's music video, performed on the song.

The young singer also scooped up the Best Song and Best Alternative nods for his songs Locked Out Of Heaven and Thirty Seconds To Mars respectively.

Lady Gaga speaks during the ArtRave release event of her new album Artpop in New York on November 10.

The event included a performance from Gaga, alongside the exhibition of different works of art that the pop star created in collaboration with various artists and designers such as Jeff Koons, Marina Abramovic, Inez & Vinoodh, Robert Wilson, Benjamin Rollins Caldwell and Gaga's own TechHaus for the ARTPOP campaign.

Actor-director George Clooney turns on the charm at the BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards in Beverly Hills, California on November 9.
