Singer Mariah Carey wears a sling while performing with the New York Philharmonic at the Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star Charity Concert benefiting Sandy Relief in New York.
Carey was injured during the filming of the music video for her song #Beautiful.
The singer's latest album, The Art of Letting Go, which she was due to release this month, might be her last with Island Def Jam, it has been revealed.
The singer has decided to take this step after delays and a lack of promotion and support by the recording label, the New York Post reported.
Music insiders told the publication that the album’s first single, ‘hash Beautiful,’ was not heavily promoted by IDJ, and Carey was disappointed by the label’s efforts.
Some insiders also blame the lack of attention to Carey on the fact that label execs were busy focusing on Kanye West’s album Yeezus.
Meanwhile, a rep for IDJ told the publication that they love Carey and her music and have fully supported her every step of the way here at Island Def Jam.
