Here's what your favourite Bollywood stars were up to over the weekend.

Amitabh Bachchan, who attended the opening ceremony of the 19th Kolkata Film Festival with actress and MP wife Jaya Bachchan, lit the inaugural ceremony along with Kamal Haasan and Shah Rukh Khan to kickstart the proceedings.

He later tweeted with the (above) picture, 'With SRK at the KKIFF ... a grand and organised affair ... Mamta Bannerji the CM of Bengal, so considerate'

Prior to his Kolkata visit, the Big B had Hollywood veteran Robert De Niro and his daughter Drena in rapt attention as they discussed Indian tikas (vermillion), among other things, at the THiNK fest in Goa on November 9.

Thrilled by his meeting with the Hollywood legend, Bachchan posted on his official Facebook page, 'A relaxed Robert De Niro of so many distinguished films and characters that he played in his illustrious career, and still continues to do so, simple and down to earth, accommodating and friendly, a joy and honor to meet him and spend some time with him privately.'

Riding high on the success of Krrish 3, Kangna Ranaut turned up at Mehboob studio in Bandra, awestern Mumbai suburb, to promote her next film -- Rajjo -- in a pretty Dior dress and chunky heels.

Following his older brother, the late showman Raj Kapoor's induction in the UTV Stars-promoted Walk Of Stars in Mumbai, veteran actor Shashi Kapoor had his hand prints unveiled over the weekend at Prithvi theatre.

The thespian was accompanied by several other Kapoors including Krishna Raj Kapoor and Neela Devi (not in the picture).

After serving as Bollywood's smile ambassador, Madhuri Dixit has now taken on more responsibilities. 

Dressed in a golden salwar kameez, the veteran actress launched 'India's first signature Diabetes dance step' at High Street Phoenix mall in Lower Parel, South Mumbai.

Vidya Balan, meanwhile, was photographed all decked up in bridal finery as she prepared to shoot a promotional ad campaign at PVR in Andheri, a western Mumbai suburb.
